Glad you're ok! I've had a similar situation even with windowed wing, but I managed to avoid it last second when I saw a shadow right in front of we. I think it's a general problem in wing foiling because the wing is very close to you with big bladders and it's limiting your vision unlike in kitesurfing or windsurfing.
Nice progress with race jibe! I'm yet to try it but not sure how much more efficient it is comparing to hell side jibe which I use in light wind.
