Sometimes it feels like our society thinks not eating enough is a status symbol.

Regardless of how far the HB videos actually represent what these celebs eat in a day, people like my past anorexic self look to them as blueprints - or justification - for seriously imbalanced (dangerous, even) diets. So, Abbey, I think the work you put into critiquing them is absolutely invaluable; you are genuinely doing a public service and I salute you

"when I have breakfast", "when I have lunch", "I don't usually have snack"... Meanwhile: I can't wait to have breakfast when I get up, I always love to snack, I'm always excited about lunch and I always enjoy a relaxing dinner! :D And the Hunger Crushing Combo has helped me to make everything more interesting and nutritional!

I think Ayesha is the prime example of many mothers : they care first about feeding every one around them but forget about their own appetite. And as a result tend to eat any and everything that will satisfy the hunger i.e salty, sugary, fatty snacks. And then they feel guilty for eating snacks so they drastically restrict their next calorie intake. And it's the same cycle all over... Having breakfast and small healthy-ish snacks throughout the day would help regulating her satiety.

As someone who shops and delivers others groceries on the side, I can attest to the fact that very few households are 100% clean or
100% processed. Everyone is in the middle.

I SO appreciate these videos. You have inspired me to quit WW after doing it for 6 years. While it served its purpose back when I started, I have realized how much my thoughts and ideas towards food have changed. My BF and I have found a local registered dietitian that we are going to start seeing next month and I’m so excited!

I could be wrong but I feel like if you can find time to work out five times a week then surely you can eat a protein bar and an apple on the way back from the workout???

When I moved to France I started drinking a lot more black espresso, but I do still enjoy a sweet milky latte too! Just like how some days I want eggs and some days I want pancakes, my coffee craving differs day to day!

A lack of "willpower" isn't what gets this woman to snack at night, it's that she's had half the calories she needs if all she's doing is bingeing Netflix's.

This really brought me back to my IF days when I’d do a 20 hour fast during the week and then would “allow” myself to eat regular meals on the weekends. I love the tips you gave to amp up the meals she does actually eat! Great video!

Caribbean woman: The fry-up usually does have red and green peppers in it, it can also be paired with boiled plantain instead of fried.

I’m kind of sad that this cookbook author doesn’t make food for herself often. The recipes look so good. I’m confused a bit!

I can definitely switch back and forth between the black coffee and the sweet. I always drink black at home but I love a good treat yourself (financially) latte or something super sweet from Starbucks or another coffee shop

The main concern I get, is how her children might lead by example. When you see your mother promoting the whole "starve yourself through the day, binge in the evenings"-mentality, it won't do much good for your own relationship with food...
That being said: great job Abbey, you re-directed the focus on the points that matter. It sounded to me she was trying to get her self-worth out of telling she is able to starve herself, whilst you also could hear she is simply not able to (nor should she). Your feedback turns the HB vid from being harmfull, into being educative.

Could you react to Jaclyn Hill's new series about losing weight and improving her health? It's honestly so interesting to me how I start screaming your advice to her while watching the video. Your videos are so educational!

I totally feel the very strict coffee ritual. I have had the same cup of coffee every morning for the last 2 years: 400 mils of coffee, 50 mils of whole milk, no sugar, but a piece of nice chocolate or a fine chocolate truffle on the side. I love it and it makes my morning so much better.

I feel like the "eating dinner together" statistic is partly just a case of "correlation does not mean causation" i think some of those things on that list (like early sexual activity?!) are not connected to eating dinner or lunch together at all and rather are related to the fact that families that are disfunctional and thus lead to some of those issues also happen to not eat together because they probably don't spend that much time together in general

I find her skipping meals not unusual given she works and has 3 littles kids BUT she has enough money to hire someone to prep all of her meals and snacks...least some.

you are really motivating me on my eating disorder recovery journey. I stopped counting calories and I am trying to make sure to have some carbs, protein and fat in my diet as well as something "unhealthy" when I feel like I need it! I also have been trying to hunger crushing combo my binging snacks to not overeat and make it more nutritious . I want my body to feel good again .Really
