after all this years I still love the song. romantic song. One of my favorite I like their voice.

No matter how many times I watch this or hear the song I cry my eyes out. The song came out right after the man I always believed was my ‘soulmate’ and I got back together for the last time and not long before we married. I thought the song was ‘all about us’ and shared it and my thoughts/feelings with him. When I married him I truly believed that we would always be together but it was not to be. He was very bad for me (always was really but it did get much worse over time) and he was abusive in every way possible so I had to leave. It actually makes me mad that a song can still affect me like this one can about him but it does. And I feel ridiculously stupid for not being able to truly get over him. Most won’t understand any of this but those who’ve been in abusive relationships/marriages probably will. I stumbled on this video again today and sitting here crying and just wanted to try to get some of this off my chest.

I have high respect for Sir Peter Cetera, but I this song was really meant for Cher. I saw this and Cher's duet with another artist and I should say this song could be done great even without Mr. Cetera but this song is doesn't sound great without Cher. Only Cher can make this song magical.
