Legendary really has given kong the respect he deserves. He’s no longer the dumb simping ape that gets killed by airplanes anymore. He’s a proper kaiju now and proved that he can be a formidable opponent.

This is the best round, hands down. Godzilla’s unbridled savagery is on full display and the fight is creative and shows us that there is a winner. No ambiguity, no interruption by a third party. I remember when i saw this in theaters and when Kong collapsed I thought “they did it. They actually did it. Godzilla straight-up won.”

When Godzilla jumped on Kong and punched him I thought it was the coolest thing ever in the film. Until the roar scene lol that was epic.

1:43 I love this shot here, you can see the absolute rage that was pent up inside of the G man, all come out in his eyes, awesome movie/scene 10/10.

There aren't many movies where you see Godzilla's claws put into play. This is a reminder that he isn't just all atomic breath and bite.

Kong was actually doing well until he kelp putting his hands by Godzilla's mouth :(

What I like about this round is that Godzilla acknowledges that his atomic breath isn’t going to do much against Kong’s agility, as he’s going to cause Godzilla to waste his power on the beam, so he decides to play Kong at his own game by using brute force. It really shows how lethal Godzilla can really be when tested.

Godzilla gave Kong the same demand he gives every Titan: Submit or Die. To his surprise, even when defeated, Kong refused to submit.

So even though Godzilla left him to die, you can tell by his little nod that Kong earned Godzilla’s respect for never yielding even (literally) in the face of defeat.

Dude Godzilla doesn’t mess around with his Opponents, he freakin threw Kong came charging at him but missed but still came at Kong 0:57(Godzilla is incredibly fast now) and he freakin jumped on Kong 1:08. I may be a Godzilla fan but damn I felt bad for Kong

Honestly, I feel the only reason Godzilla didn't kill Kong was because there was a bigger threat out there. Ever since Apex began constructing MechaGodzilla, Godzilla could sense King Ghidorah's "revival" so-to-speak. He knew Ghidorah was a much bigger threat and wanted to see him destroyed for good, and merely saw Kong as an obstacle at the time. After pinning him down, that was him saying, "stay out of my way". Or he knew Kong could die from his injuries and simply left him to his fate.
