You should make more videos like this. Though it would be nice if you introduced people to one of my favorite terminal shells, the fish shell. It would have been a nice addition to this short tutorial video. for those who may be wondering, fish is a terminal shell that provides lots of user friendly features. Just use whatever package manager you might prefer and install it. Speaking of which...Ebuzz would you mind showing a tutorial on how to use different terminal package managers and their listed commands? Most specifically about Arch's pacman and Debian's apt.

You can also use "ls -alR" the R is to list recursively in directories.

9:36 to 9:24 for those who changed your "copy" hotkey within your gnome-terminal's preferences. like I did to ctrl+c ...the actual STOP command would be ctrl+z

Also instead of ctrl+alt+t you might consider changing that to super key+ enter ;) ( my thanks to this cool bald headed narrator on this channel for that idea either last year or whatever you mentioned that in a previous video

cheers :D

This is great for more linux noobs like me but who have had allot of command line experience in the past, but unfortunately this skips basic steps for absolutely new, zero experience users like some I have taught. How the base structure of the commands and help/man pages are formatted may as well be another language that is as different as Japanese is to English. I haven't looked hard but haven't seen one of those when I tried to link it to people I couldn't handhold through it myself, not that I am a high authority on it as it has been over a decade since I was adept at a command line.

I am not an expert by any stretch of the imagination (I don't use VIM, lmao), but maybe you should have mentioned that you were using BASH and not, for example, ZSH. Also, what I find most useful with an "ls" is human readable... Just my two pennies... Otherwise, great job!

Good video as always. But please fix your audio problem. Maybe your too close to the mic or the gain is up.

Can not read your text because you did not make the txt bigger with Ctrl plus shift & + ( Till the end but did not explain how it was done ? ) Also the command - man bash - or man bash | less ( to read most of the bash commands. )

Come on, that's exactly the reason why NOBODY wants to switch to Linux !!! Proof is, 1% of market-share 20 years ago, still 1% of market-share today ! (PC not servers). I mean, going into Linux Terminal reminds me the days of MS-DOS in the 80ies. Linux power-users should understand they must get rid of that nonsense called a "terminal" or a "console" and replace it with a 100% graphical interface called a GUI, for EVERYTHING including programs installation, then millions of people will switch to Linux, but not before. Then, AND ONLY THEN, the market share will pass from 1% to 10%, maybe more (hopefully).

I'm NOT afraid of it--- but I'm 66, not the best of health- and can't remember all that stuff... All those letter combos don't "mean anything" to me.. which is why I focus on gui. I WOULD like to be able to do that-- but as I said- that non-related letter combo crap just doesn't stick in my head. Besides- why do all that, when I can click and move.. and DONE.
