Sony isn't lying about emulating ps3 games as they were designed to run on Sony's in house cell architecture for the CPU which means the instruction set are completely different

The crazy thing about that Peer To Peer feature is that even PSP Games still work Online. Although there are hardly users left, you can still Play Online on the PSP (yes, without PS Plus) - you only need a Player who plays either with or against you.

The problem with PS3 is they designed a cel shader system and massively powerful APU specifically to work with it. So to emulate a PS3 game, you have to not only emulate the PS3 OS, but also the massively complex cel shader system that all PS3 games use. It’s why PS3 game have a specific look to them.

One time I stayed over my friends house who owned not only the Xbox One bt also a PS4...bt I brought over my PS2 and Crash Bandicoot Tag Team played Crash Bandicoot on my PS2 ALL DAY AND NIGHT without sleep....can't beat a classic 😎🫡
