Additionally, kids of legacies have a higher expectation and likely their parents can help them advance more academically

Huge tip to people looking at universities and colleges: the bigger names does not necessarily mean better education. Schools like MIT, Harvard, Oxford, Uni of Toronto, etc are still good schools, but you can get the same quality of education at other schools for way way less tuition cost. However, they are good for making connections. Just don’t think that the more prestigious the school that they must have better education

I knew it, my 7 year old brother is the reason I didn't get accepted.

The school I want to doesn’t take in account for legacies but everybody in my dad‘s family went to that school so they know a couple guides into getting into the school!

This is true even with UK secondary schools; I got accepted straight away since my older brother went there

This is why I'm not going to Harvard. Legacy is incredibly unfair and this kind of thing doesn't align with my principles at all

So everyone, remember, you can be the one to make a change.

Mit is all about innovation and top performers, not dynasties. ( PSA Harvard hasn't been #1 in the usa by most publications for a couple years now, Princeton and MIT are on top with the understanding based on certain fields of degrees. )

Let’s be clear, being a legacy alone means barely anything. Will it get you above someone who has the same stats as you and isn’t a legacy, sure, but the legacies who really get the benefits are part of the super donor families
