It's NOT Ezreals fault, he hit him before Cho casted his W (Scream).
It's actually a visual bug, sometimes it appears to be that you hit an enemy with a skillshot, but you don't. Because when you move your camera, the angle on skillshots changes..

how was it not ezreals fault? Assuming he just wanted an assist and not steal the penta, he could as well cast W on his teammates. He just risked to get the kill accidentally with the redbuff dot, which is exactly what happened.
