Elections 2014: Ukraine Votes For Its Future

On May 25, Ukraine will hold its first Presidential elections since former President Yanukovych fled to Russia, as well as mayoral elections in 38 cities, including Kyiv. There have been extensive preparations by the Ukrainian Government in voter registration, printing and distribution of ballots, the forming of local election bodies, and the deployment of election observers. This hangout is an opportunity to hear directly from the government of Ukraine and various monitoring organizations about the efforts to ensure the elections are credible, transparent, and peaceful.
The U.S. Representative to the OSCE will also discuss how the United States is working with allies to support these efforts.
