I was skeptical, but an Among us-style Death Note game is kind of genius ngl.

when i saw this i was like "this is gonna be a visual novel...", but NO they made it about deduction and investigation in a way that lets us sculpt our own crimes and produce our own scenarios. LOVE

So some things that I noted about the characters and mechanics and just in general about the game.

1. The Light, L, and Misa characters are definitely skins that you can obtain. (whether it's through gameplay or currency is up in the air.)
2. There is Journal that can be left behind. (I assume it's just like how how it works in Town of Salem.) Proof being this part 1:58
3. The Death Note can be passed around between Kira and the Kira follower. (I'm assuming this could also be how L works where if L dies a new person becomes L.)
4. The Death animations are most likely map related, so if things like new maps were to be added we'd probably get new kill animations.
5. When a player dies it'll be like in Among Us where they get a cutscene kind of Death, and after they die they get an upward view of Light or L like here. 1:32 1:46
6. When Kira kills someone they would also probably see the kill animation and get a close up of Light, like in this part. 1:16
7. A death animation from a 3rd person point of view or in simpler terms, someone watching, will probably look like this. 2:07
8. This could be a win animation for Team L and the investigators. 2:17
9. Kinda obvious, but whoever has the Shinigami following them has the Death Note. 1:23 1:25 (Ryuk AND Rem are here, so they could be cosmetics you could buy with currency or unlock with gameplay, it's up in the air like the Light, L, and Misa skins.)
10. Whenever you are killed by Kira you will be controlled by the Death Note and sent to your death. 2:12
11. This is what the person being killed by the Chandelier kill will see right here. 2:15
12. You can most likely be caught using the Death Note both in person and through camera's installed by L or installed in the map by default that L can access. Proof is here at 1:30 (In person.) and 2:04 (On the cameras.)
13. In order to kill someone using the Death Note you have to write their name and cause of Death down. (I theorize that if you fail the minigame given, the player destined to die can break free of Kira's control and live, to canonize this theory it's kinda like how you need to visualize the name with a face or if a Death isn't possible it won't happen.)
14. This death scene shows a character flying into L's cake, possibly symbolizing that when L dies this animation will play here. 2:13
15. Now this is PURELY just a theory, but I theorize that as Kira, if your subordinate gets caught or if you get caught after passing the Death Note to your subordinate, making them the new Kira, they or you can either find a way to prove your innocence, or play a mind game by killing you or you killing your subordinate off to make it look like anyone accusing them is Kira.
16. Another obvious one, but as Kira or a Kira follower in order to gain names you have to be near people for a certain amount of time or be near them and press a button activation in order to attempt to steal their ID's in order to set up a kill for them with the Death Note.
16. Anyone complaining about the characters are just being cry babies with Sparking Zero titty milk in their mouths, because they are Near's dolls and are in the Anime and Manga, so it's a canon nod to the source material while also saving budget.

Ironically, this is probably the best idea for a Death Note game since the whole formula of the series is literally social deduction.
