I have this little 2CH plane, it has a feature to do the mechanical trimming of the elevator effect; by adjusting the horizontal stabilizer. So, do not glue tight the horizontal stabilizer, just use some double sided tape, and you may adjust it mechanically. This, it is not require to add any nose weight.

It is a great flyer for smooth and steady scale flying, very stable and looks real. Just not suitable for aggressive flying style. ;-)

Please Brian have a Spektrum class. I have a DX8G2. Spektrum videos are done by their tech engineer. So they assume newbies to the SAFE systems know how to switch.
I would gladly pay for an online seminar. I think a bunch of people would.
Your vids got me back into RC.
Your forte is explaining technical stuff and making it understandable for the average guy.
I am a pilot with all the ratings. Spektrum speaks Russian to even smart guys.

I have a question about a timberx. I have a dx18 to. Switched the rx for a 8 channel spektrum ar8010t.

I want to use the throttle reverse. Do i still need assign aux7 to channel 2?

Although judging by the place where the tail was torn off-there is no glue there! You glued it together now it flies?

Real Question: Have you reviewed the Z51 Predator from Bang Good? It is a similar design: EPP, electronic console, but 660mm wingspan. Its Tx is unusual in that his has 2 top buttons. (Does your DA62/GD-006 Tx have this?) Left is for LED strips (not supplied, darn!) and the right button is for "high & low speed" button switch. This plane is very interesting. Motors are almost too weak to take off, but very sufficient to maintain flight after it is in the air. In fact, I couldn't get the plane to descend on my second flight. I need your insight on this model, but I like the socketed (not soldered) motors, sockets for LED light strips, nice rubberized gear wheels, & plastic accents to hold it together! Please try to get & review the Z51. - Jim

Brian! For real this plane needs FLAPS! Boy I agree with Terry Curtin you and Megan are SO Frikin entertaining. (Tired of the intrusive commercials though). So in case your not hearing it often enough... Thanks for the detailed information and explanations. And are you sure the fuselage isn't also equivalent to a LiPo battery recharge bag? Looks safe to me?

Instead of the paper clip I use a bit of sticky tacky poster putty. About a gram near the front of my predator z51 eliminated the phugoids.

Yeah I know it's a really inexpensive plane, but it should have been properly weighted and balanced before it left the factory. And it is not RTF, lots of assembly required. This is supposed to be a beginners plane and you are a very experienced pilot and even you had trouble not counting the wrong part. Just another Duet in my opinion and not worth the trouble at any price. On Christmas morning it would keep the kid busy but probably extremely frustrated too. But thanks for the video and review. The camera crew does such a great job it makes all the other YouTubers look bad. Very good work. 👍 As for the plane... 👎
