Every August it happens. From out of the ashes of an abandoned old store rises a glorious sight - Spirit Halloween. We usually build most of our Halloween props and decor, but we’ve been wanting to get some Halloween Animatronics so we decided to check out what they had. We really wanted to see some of the big props like the Bog Zombie and Nozzles the Clown in person. We were not disappointed. Not only did they have really cool animatronics, but they had some amazing Halloween props and decorations as well.

They had a bunch of cool decorations from The Haunted Mansion, Hocus Pocus, Nightmare Before Christmas, and Trick ‘r Treat. They also had the usual suspects - tombstones, fog machines, masks, makeup, and Halloween costumes galore. We got to see Shorty from Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Grim the animatronic skeleton, and Barry the caged zombie in person. They didn’t have Lord Raven out for display, but it was available for purchase.

We weren’t planning out it, but we ended up getting a bunch of stuff! We can’t wait to show you our haul and do some unboxings of our new animatronics!

I would love to see you guys do some prop remakes! Taking average spirit Halloween animatronics and making them much cooler! Check out K and T do Halloween. They had a similar series like this.

I used their "beef netting" last year for a large spider display between two large trees. It comes without the holes so you can customize it. It looked great. I also have the older brown jumping spider. He was just new enough to be able to hook him into Spirit's multi remote system, and he works great with that. I have their older stand up scarecrow, the jumping spider and the ghost rocking chair (I took it apart and rebuilt it on a real front porch rocking chair), and two foggers all on remote now. All for the one kid who comes to our house for the big night.... In CA we would have 300-400 kids, now in NC - 1... but that kid gets a great show, and a box of full sized candy bars...

I have the jumping Scarecrow! He's a hit every year. Now, I've had him for 10 years and last year he did stop working, sadly. I would recommend him. I also have the little gril on the swing, not the one you guys showed in the video, bit very similar. She's also a hit.

TOTALLY recommend the jumping spiders, scarecrow, and arctic dragon. I have all and they’re all amazing. I also want to know if y’all can do a yard tour?

I used to work for Spencer Gifts distribution center, who owns Spirit Halloween. I would repair the broken animatronics prior to shipping them out or the ones that would be returned. If you buy an animatronic and it doesn't turn on, check the wiring connections. The most common issue is too much glue and is easily remedied by scraping some of it off.

The beef netting spider web they sell actually looks really good. I used it last year for my giant Sam's club spider and it looked great. I added some of the cotton classic webs to it for layering and everyone liked it, people always love to take pictures in our web.

The jumping spider is one of the best smaller animatronics I picked up last year. It would be great to see if you could dress it up a bit to make it appear more realistic.
