Only because a rich, wealthy man, CEO of a large company, was unalived does the "justice" system go to these lengths for any one person. This shows to Americans what we already knew. IF you are rich, elite, and a part of a larger system, the "justice" system will do everything and more for you, the "normal" person. If you think the government would do this for you, you would be wrong. Yet, UHC caused thousands to not get the medical care they needed to live.

Had the CEO been in prison for insider trading this probably would have never happened.

We need to not let this go. We need to not get distracted from the CORE ISSUE. For-profit health insurance is based on a fundamental conflict of interest. The more healthcare that is denied, the more profit these companies make. THIS IS THE ONLY ISSUE WE SHOULD BE DISCUSSING regarding this event. $450 BILLION dollars PER YEAR. ~68, 000 deaths attributable to delayed, withheld, and lacking care PER YEAR. These private for-profit healthcare corporations are selling years of our life expectancy for as much money as they can extract from us. We pay more per capita for healthcare than any other nation on earth, yet we are consistently worse than 40th in life expectancy. Private, for-profit health insurance NEEDS TO END.

They want to strike fear into the people but the people no longer have anything to lose.

Say United Healthcare by name!!! No media is talking about UHC's terrible practices that the DOJ have filed against him. There was an anacronym in Luigi's notes. It's UHC! Talk about UHC specifically.

We don’t tolerate it in our society cause the target was a millionaire CEO? But we do tolerate what that CEO did to countless people?

That court artist either isn't so good at their job or someone whispered to them to make sure and make him look like a monstrous old man.

She said "We don't accept this conduct in our society." But for decades our "society" and our "lawmakers" have accepted the conduct of the serial killer/maimer medical insurance industry.
HOW does THAT make sense, and HOW is THAT justified? THAT'S what I want to know, NOT more critiques of Luigi Mangione.

The death penalty seems to be a bit too much for this kid not because I fancy him, but because external influences are pressing for this outcome. Otherwise, his charges wouldn't be so severe.
