Sonos Move 2 Review | Best Portable Speaker 2023?

Reviewing the Sonos Move 2 after a week of use, including an unboxing and best features tour. Is the Sonos Move 2 the best portable speaker of 2023? Well it's certainly one of the most expensive, at £449 UK!

This beast is made from sustainably sourced materials and water resistant (IP56) as well as drop resistant. You have some helpful touch controls as well as voice activation and Alexa support. Plus the Sonos Move 2 can be controlled via the iOS/Android app, to stream music etc over WiFi.

If you have a pair of Move 2 speakers connected to your WiFi network then you can stream to them both simultaneously. Or alternatively, this blaster can sync up with the rest of your Sonos setup over WiFi.

A dual tweeter setup produces spacious stereo sound, and you’ll appreciate that extra clarity when used indoors. The Sonos Move 2 also supports that ‘Trueplay’ feature - where audio is dynamically adjusted by the speaker based on the environment.

Sound quality is good when streaming over BlueTooth, but it’s a shame the Sonos Move 2 doesn't offer AptX HD or LDAC support. So you’ll only really get to take advantage of the Move 2’s fantastic audio chops when you’re streaming via WiFi - or if you connect your device direct with that line-in adapter.

The Sonos Move 2 also delivers up to 24 hours battery life, double the original speaker. You can use that built-in battery to charge your phone, smart watch etc - just plug it into the USB-C port and get some of that tasty reverse charge action.

Sold my bose portable home smart speaker and bought sonos move 2. Amazing decent sound clarity, sparkling treble and bass not compressed at higher volume. Very satisfied with it.
