GIMP also does a pretty good job of removing the background, and there are about five ways to do so within GIMP itself.

Good stuff. This is always a relevant topic and I'm so glad you posted this too. Cool seeing that free tools can be used for this. I'm very curious about the best practice via Photoshop or Affinity Designer but need a refresher and am glad you created created the past video about this in Photoshop. Great videos as always.

Doesn't Paint 3D shrink the image by default after cutting out the background? I noticed this in myself. Yes, we can change the resolution before saving, but changing from a smaller to a larger one worsens the quality of the photo..
