Woke Pastor Calls for John MacArthur to be CANCELLED!!! | Moody Bible Institute, Charlie Dates, TGC

Charlie Dates, a Chicago area pastor is calling for the cancellation of John MacArthur due to recent comments that he made about Martin Luther King, Jr. John MacArthur answered a question about The Gospel Coalition during a Question and Answer session and referenced a conference that they held in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. MacArthur pointed out that King's beliefs were not orthodox. Dates attacked MacArthur for stating well documented facts about MLK. I discuss his recent attack on MacArthur, play a clip of MacArthur's statements and include John MacArthur's answer to a question about social justice.

Even back in the sixties pastors such as Jerry Falwell were calling MLK Jr. to quit halting between two worlds. Either preach the Gospel that God called you to, or give up calling yourself pastor and go all in as a civil rights leader. Nothing has changed, neither the donkey, or elephant has the power to change the world, only the Lamb.

Mr. Dates' call for any Biblically qualified pastor's "cancelation", especially Dr. MacArthur, would be laughable, were it not such a tragic indication of a deeper theological issue within the so called, Black Church!

As a black man, I was shocked to learn of how carelessness of a life Dr. King lived was beyond my belief. I'm originally from Haiti, therefore I just bought into the fact Dr. King was a Rev and was preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, but now I'm diving into his private life though and learn more of his moral character..Thanks for the information

I am currently an MDiv student at Moody Theological Seminary and their giving Charlie Dates a platform to defend a man who is known to have cheated on his wife with numerous women and denied numerous foundational biblical essentials, is concerning to say the least.

I just returned from the 2024 Shepherd's Conference . If Dates wants to cancel John MacArthur, he has a mammoth task in front of him as there were some 5000 pastors and church leaders on the campus of Grace Church. The conference usually sells out within a few weeks of opening registration. I can only assume Dates operates with an amended definition of the gospel given his ardent promotion of MLK. And the sum of that equation equals apostasy. Jude 3 immediately comes to mind. In the end, Dates will only succeed in making MacArthur message more popular. And what a shame that Moody has gone down the rabbit hole of wokeness.

It's just an empty threat to those of us that are true Christians.
We know God is in control of EVERYTHING.
