It is a shame on the academy that Alita didn't win the Oscar for best VFX, let alone not even be nominated. SHAME. SHAME. SHAME on you.

It's interesting how some of the visual effects look considerably better than the others, I think it's because of the art direction of each film, some films go for a more grounded look with more realistic production design, lighting, and just the overall look of it, like the Planet of the Apes movies, they look so much better than most of these, but the VFX was made by the same studio, it's something interesting to think about.
