Removing Silence from your video is an option is other NLE's but as yet Resolve has not got this feature but this 1 editing hack gets your editing off to a flying start.

The original Idea JumpCutter is now a paid subscription model and Switch Take which is excellent is also a paid app. However Jump Cutter Ultra which was a fork from the original Jump Cutter is still free and can be downloaded.

Does the same file- drag to initiate the batch- step work for Mac? I do single shot talking head videos and it takes me hourssss to cut out pauses.

I got Final Cut because they now offer a built in extension for this. But it didn’t realize FCP won’t recognize Apple HDR/Dolby files 🙄 so CC I have to either down grade and use a lot to make it look clean. Or figure out a way to do this in DaVinci.

Frustrating lol. I feel like it’s something DaVinci could easily include. And don’t. And I feel like Final Cut being an apple product, could easily support apple specific video files….And don’t.
