Super Easy Smoked Salmon Dip

This video goes through the steps to making a deliciously easy smoked salmon dip. It only needs 5 simple ingredients and tastes great.

Dips are one of the best platter dishes for a good party. You can have it with some crackers, Doritos, carrot sticks or whatever you want. This one is super simple so you can make it with very short notice.

By making this smoked salmon dip at home you can adjust the ingredients to better suit your tastebuds. If you want more salmon flavour in the dip then simply add more salmon. The same can be said for any ingredient.

• 250g (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
• 150g (6 oz.) smoked salmon
• 2 tsp. dill chopped
• 2 tsp. lemon juice
• ½ cup sour cream

You should find that this dip will last up to about a week in the fridge unless it’s completely eaten before then. Just make sure you don’t leave it out in the heat for too long as this will shorten the amount of time it will last.

Once you put this in the fridge it will go quite hard due to the cream cheese. Best way to get around this is to get it out of the fridge an hour or two before you need it. Alternatively, you can warm it slightly in a microwave.

Capers can be added for a bit of extra oomph to the recipe. Just keep in mind capers are quite salty so you won’t need many to add a ton of flavour the dip. I also wouldn’t add any extra salt if you’re adding capers.
