I can't relate to this song in terms of a romantic relationship, but I can relate in terms of having another person break me down and belittle me for liking the things I like. Now I am older, and I'm slowly, little by little, trying to establish my identity and a place in the world. Maybe that sounds a bit over-dramatic, I suppose it's not like I have NO idea who I am or had my personality totally suppressed. But... I know what it's like to be shamed for just being myself, and I hope someday to reclaim those parts of me that I was semi-forced to hide away. Here and now, I want to try living for myself and not being afraid of what others will think. It's a slow journey, and still I have crippling social anxiety. But, at the very least, I'm not living under the thumb of that person anymore.

I dont know if its related. This music remember my ex. I literally did everything for her, i almost got beaten up, i made her smile when i was crying, and all i asked were for a little sincerity but she kept lying to me, she treated me like garbage and in the end it was always my fault. She had the ability to make me feel the worst person in the world, for things that i never have done but i still loved he.
she broke up with me but before that she kept spreading bad things about me to her friends, even though I never did anything. I have never felt more like killing myself than in these last months.
