Meanwhile, I'm just happy that we have the choice of 2 really good smartphones with their own unique pros and cons. Feature-lovers and those who love bleeding-edge design will definitely pick the Galaxy while those who want something more predictable or are very deep in the Apple ecosystem will definitely consider the iPhone.

For me, it's the Galaxy, but I wouldn't mind having an iPhone too. Somehow, it makes me happy to see both phone side-by-side.

I hate when people get it wrong. It's not Android vs Apple its Android vs iOS and Samsung vs Apple. There's a huge difference and it eliminates the confusion

It all comes down to what you are use to. I went from Note 7 to iphone 7, back to Galaxy S8+. Loved the iphones optimized OS. Hated the crappy LCD screen. Finally back to Oled screen. Cant believe I tortured myself with that horrible screen. Now lets see how good the Note 8 and Iphone 8 are going to be. Cant wait to try both

I was surprised that you mentioned messaging apps as an issue. Anyone in tech will tell you that there are tonnes of alternative messaging apps that are not only superior but also platform independent. Skype, Hangouts, WhatsApp, **shudder** Facebook **choke**, etc.

Not sure why anyone would want to paint themselves in a corner and limit themselves to a 1 platform messaging app - kinda like saying, "if you don't wear pink, I won't talk to you". I know, silly right?

The prices of this things are RIDICULOUS. There's absolutely no reason to pay that kind of money for a smartphone, other than "I want it". We should really consider our culture if we consider this super-overpriced objects a necessity.
