I still have
my original Barbie and Skipper so I loved this video! My mom made a lot of my Barbie clothes, but not for Skipper. I'm so glad to have them, and it's nice to know patterns are still available. I love both these outfits!

Love the dresses. I am almost 64 and I had a Skipper, Barbie, Midge, Ken, and Francie. I also had a Barbie car, which did not work out very well because the dolls did not have bendable legs, so they had to sit in a very un-ladylike fashion with their legs over the dashboard! Francie may have had bendable legs, but it has been a hot minute or two. LOL! I have been following your vids for awhile, and I love your style! Reminds me of when life was classier and simpler! Keep living your best life!

I loved my Skipper. One of the outfits that I received for her on my 10th birthday in 1964 was a pair of pink shortie pj’s with a fluffy pink bathrobe and a pink teddy bear. I bought some felt and made pillows and more a little cat for her. I was in love, but I also learned to sew by sewing for Barbie, Ken, Midge and Skipper. Thank you for reminding me of a precious memory. I am grateful. I loved your Skipper’s and SewRena outfit! It also reminded me of one of Julia Robert’s Pretty Woman outfits. ❤

I love it! Highly recommend the book Doll Couture by Kenneth d king. It has some really cool techniques for making tiny Barbie clothes! It’s so great to make something like this just for fun❤ great job Sewrena!

This takes me back. I used to play with my aunts’ old Barbies, including a Skipper with the red rompers.

So cute! My grandma taught me to make my dolls dresses of their own when I was 5 so it's always had a special place in my heart as a sewing project.

So adorable! If you make a lot of these little outfits, could you make a fashion show video at the end of the year?

I knew that was a skipper as soon as I saw it. That is the doll I had, my sister had the barbie with the bob haircut and she colored her hair black with mascara to have it look more like her.

Oh my! Those dresses manage to be both cute and stylish, which isn't easy to do! Skipper looks great in the multi-color polka dots, and Barbie looks as chic as you always do.

Love their outfits they are too cute! I had a Skipper in the 60's, also had a Barbie similar to yours. My Barbie had plastic hair and three different style wigs. I've not seen any like her since. I had the best dressed dolls in town as my mother would make them outfits from her sewing scraps as well. ❤❤

I LOVE that polka dot dress, I want one for myself! SO SO CUTE! I wish I still had some of the barbies I had when I was a kid with their 80s bronzed skin and long crimped hair LOL...

You definitely could open your own Etsy shop for vintage style doll clothes. All your mini fashions are fabulous! My vintage Skipper has the Titian hair. She also has a brother. They must be twins because they're bodies are the same, just different heads....You're inspiring me to hunt down doll clothes patterns and start sewing again. My mom made me lots of Barbie clothes in the 70s. She got quite creative cutting patterns down to fit Skipper and Francie!
