That's an interesting post-apocalyptic alternate future, antvenom. Everyone locks themselves away in their homes, focusing only on the job they can do, only wanting to work hard enough to earn what they're told is enough to survive, not even knowing the world beyond, not until that world finds them, and even then they've forgotten how to survive and live, and have to be re-taught.
