Aphonopelma chalcodes making an egg sac Part 2

Here is the approximately 10 hours of footage of "Sandy" making the egg sac. So far she's a wonderful mother, tending to the babies and rolling the sac as she should. I still haven't decided If I'll take the sac from her at thirty days, or let her hatch them out herself.

Very kewl, good luck on the sac, hope it she keeps them safe. Can't wait to see the little fells hatch out and crawl about.

My Hentzi female, Lily, is doing a great job with her sac too! She is rolling it and guarding it almost constantly. She only leaves it for short periods to get a drink of water or work on the nursery. Hers isn't as dirty as your girls is as she laid it in a special den I made for her out of her log hide and a reptile bathing pool placed underneath it. Her den looks real natural and she loves it.

I find it kind of interesting that they know to roll it by instinct....even as her first time being a mommy tarantula
