Why would you let cheetahs be with your kids who can't even defend themselves, a dog to be with a fox, and dogs to be with tigers. There's a big difference between a human instinct and animal instinct.

I don't know if its just me but Cheetahs don't look dangerous at all.

Cheetahs are calmer than other big cats because their body is shaped for extreme speed that does not leave any space for a powerful jaw. Therefore they are not able to fight much (cheetahs often have to leave their prey for stronger animals because they can't defend it against them) which makes them more interested in running around and petting. You can actually find many videos of cheetahs purring which is really cool
