If this is the new Star Wars, then we truly are in one of the worst timelines. Nobody asked for, better yet I'm sure whoever the author is is just self-inserting to carry out their own fantasies, but it also HAS to be within a major IP. Investors are gonna eat it up cuz it meets quotas, they don't care about the general consumer opinion

For people who think it's weird that they made a book about marriage, remember: Lucasfilm made a Han and Leia book where they get married, pre-Disney, called "The Courtship of Princess Leia", and Leia even wears a wedding gown on the front cover. So it's not a new idea.

Who really cares, it's not like most of us read any of the Disney books anyway. And I'm sure Disney has written worse stories before, that have been under less scrutiny. Besides, the books aren't even truly canon since they get retconned all the time (especially from Filoni). I just view it as a fictional story or myth, nothing more. That's what Filoni said to Sam Witwer, after all. Years ago, I would've taken it more seriously. But not anymore.
