Summer McIntosh was superb. Her last 50m was thrilling . After the final turn I was sure she would come in third .
I think Ledecky is one of immortals: her longevity and ability to swim fast for the longer distances is astounding. The will, drive and stamina that she manifests can be a lesson to us all.

I just checked Fares' USMS 100 yrd Breastroke top times and for any data nerds out there, the guy is like .75 or something faster this year - than he was 7 YEARS AGO ?!? That's insane !!!

If he trains just as hard and with new innovative techniques for the next 7 years(?), he could be clocking like: mid to upper :57 in the *100 Brst* when he's 39 yrs old !!!

I complain about the director switching the camera in the relays when the swimmers were two meters from the wall just to show the back of the next in line jumping into the water and we viewers couldn’t see the vital moments. We need smarter Olympics directors.

OK dude, I did swim YMCA, AAU & HS. I held NYS local YMCA records (NBD).
@4:17 on this video the "illegal" touch of Canadian swimmer Joshua Liendo is started.
--- 1st - if you're a true swimmer & NOT a click bait connoisseur... you knw for fact Liendo's left hand in the image is no where near the (S/F) wall.
--- 2nd - You never played the video full speed to the wall.
-- 3rd - if you're any kind of a swim coach at all -- you know JUDGES are not swimmers. A camera will get them (DQ)
--- 4th - I had to watch the actual finish to make this comment [ Liendo short stroked the wall ]
this was not an illegal touch... Maybe... Just maybe... this is an illegal last stroke if anything.
-- 5th - A Short stroke... Liendo - short stroked the crap out of his touch in the 100M Butterfly

The Men 50 M freestyle winner also touched with one hand. So I am not sure what you said about one hand touching is correct.
