Common question: how many blocks are needed?
Answer: This is rather hard to give exactly. The reason for this is that for this build to look good, you really need to texture it (I go over this at the beginning of the tutorial). Texturing is random and with a build on this scale, that randomness can mean that the number of blocks I use may be hundreds off of what you use. That said, here are some estimates for ONLY THE BLOCKS YOU USE IN BULK, WITHOUT TEXTURING. It will be very off, but will at least get you started. Remember that for each of these blocks, you'll need a lot of their texturing double (again, reference the info I give at the beginning).
-4500 stone bricks (again, ~half of this can be cobble and mossy cobble for texture)
-2000 light blue concrete
(~half can be light blue wool or light blue concrete powder)
-1000 smooth sandstone (~1/3 can be sandstone)
-700 light blue terracotta
-550 stripped oak wood
-500 dark prismarine
-500 white concrete (~1/3 can be diorite)
-350 oak slabs
-330 stripped spruce wood.
-300 andesite stairs (~half can be polished andesite)
-300 dark oak stairs
-300 dark prismarine stairs
-240 white stained glass pane
-230 dark oak fence
-200 dark oak slab
-160 dark prismarine slab
-150 stone brick stairs
-150 andesite (~half can be polished andesite)
-120 oak stairs
-100 oak planks
-70 stone brick wall
-60 iron bars
-52 dark oak fence gate
-50 dark oak planks
-40 dark oak leaves
-40 andesite slabs (~half can be polished)
-32 dark oak trapdoor
-20 spruce stairs
20 andesite stairs (~half polished)
20 andesite walls (~half polished)
