Garbage truck totals six employees' cars after crashing into Bountiful parking lot

Christy Webster, manager at the Ramblin Roads Family Restaurant, looked out the window Friday and saw six cars, including her own, completely totaled.

“It was a scene I've never seen ever, only in the movies," she said. “We work hard for our vehicles every single day, and to see that just gone in a minute was very somber.”

Very glad nobody was injured, I'm sure the garbage company's insurance will replace the damaged vehicle's.

I hope the driver of the truck is ok. Just because they're not physically hurt, doesn't mean they're not mentally. Losing your breaks is extremely scary, as I know first hand

Part of the daily pre- trip inspection on our trucks at Ace Disposal is to check brake adjustment, another is that you need insurance cards in the truck, I'm not working in the salt lake valley at all, but I'll tell you this, I just got a new truck about 5 weeks ago, the insurance card wasn't in there yet, before I left our yard I had one!

What ? Donations? They dont have to pay the damages . Insurance does. Such drama for a vehicle . The truck doing the damages will be responsible. Its absurd to seek for Donations. DOT IN UTAH REQUIRES TO HAVE ALL VEHICLES BE REGISTERED ANS INSURANCED FOR THIS TYPE OF PREVENTABLE ACCIDENTS
