How to Create Sharing Rules in Salesforce

In today's video, we're going to show you how to create Sharing Rules in Salesforce. Sharing Rules allow you to open up access to users an exception to the org-wide default settings. These rules can be owner-based, based on who owns the record, or criteria-based, based on the values of fields in the record.

A prerequisite to creating sharing rules is to first create a Public Group. This group of users should have the same functions in common so the group can be applied meaningfully for Sharing Rules.

Once that's complete, follow these steps to create Sharing Rules.
