Mazda has officially introduced the 2025 Mazda BT-50, boasting significant updates to its design, safety features, and overall functionality. This new iteration of Mazda's pickup truck brings a more modern look and practical upgrades aimed at enhancing both performance and convenience.
One of the most noticeable changes is the updated front fascia. The headlights have been redesigned with a new light signature featuring LED daytime running lights, evoking the styling seen on the Mazda CX-5. The grille has also been overhauled, now featuring an interlocking octagonal and hexagonal pattern along with a larger, colored trim that gives the truck a more aggressive presence. Additionally, the front bumper now incorporates an air curtain designed to improve aerodynamics and fuel efficiency. At the rear, the Mazda logo has been upsized, and new taillight graphics, along with a redesigned bumper, complete the updated exterior look. A new range of exterior colors, including a vibrant Red Earth Metallic, further enhances the truck's appeal.
Inside the cabin, the 2025 BT-50 offers several tech upgrades. A new 9-inch infotainment screen has been introduced, along with touch-sensitive shortcut keys. The driver’s digital display has also been upgraded to 7 inches and now includes off-road information such as drive mode, differential lock status, tire pressure monitoring, and more. For added convenience, wireless Android Auto has been included to complement the already available wireless Apple CarPlay, and there is now a USB port near the rearview mirror for easy dashcam installation.
Under the hood, the BT-50 is powered by a robust 3.0-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel engine producing 188 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. Depending on the market, there is also a smaller 1.9-liter diesel engine available. Both manual and automatic transmission options are offered depending on the region.
