I swear I’ve got to be the only male watching and learning from your channel. Not that I’d expect you to see this and respond, but I nevertheless wanted to thank you for not just the education but for your style. I’ve been a single dad for...well, waaaay too long and one year I sat in my living room on Christmas Eve realizing that my house was far too plain. Never been much of the crafty type but I decided to learn so my kids would have some memories of a beautifully decorated home. But man, there’s some pretentious and downright weird styles out there. Then I found your channel and aside from the fact that I LOVE the way the interior of your house is designed and decorated, I also finally found someone with elegant but not snobby style from whom I can get ideas. Thank you, from a man who feels more at home with power tools than craft supplies.

My family has made garlands in the United States since 1937. I have over 3 and a half decades of experience. You have it down. Excellent use of evenly mixing berries evenly throughout. Always make sure your baling twine is never moldy. Also the 23 gadget is great for a smaller garland, 14 is better for heavier mixes. Love your work.

Wow just made one for my coach light its beautiful!!! Used pinecones and Stewart plaid bows I love it. I would say only use the paddle wire other wire gets tangled and leather/garden gloves a must my hands took a beating with the sharp pine needles. Thanks again going to make a few more.

i nailed it. thanks for the video. The tutorial was easy to understand and I am super proud of my garland. I used Fraser fir that I got off the bottom of the Christmas tree and Nandina which grows wild in the woods and has red berries! It looks awesome on my front porch rails.

This reminded me that I picked up a bunch of stuff at a consignment shop that I want to put in arrangements -- tiny pumpkins, stars, etc. I have more stuff than time!

thanks, this is very clearly explained! I have been making wreaths for the first time and I hope to be able to do the roping. Amazing how simple it is when someone takes you through it step by step, so now all I need is the stamina and time! Recommend hand lotion for we who can't work w/ gloves!
