In the early 2000s PF Changs was genuinely fucking amazing. Wok seared lamb and lettuce wraps was the dinner of kings. Went there for the first time in over a decade, the price is literally 3 times higher, the portions are smaller, and it is way lower quality.

People need to learn that “wagyu” does not necessarily mean “Japanese Wagyu” although a lot of steak-uneducated people assume so. In general order of tenderness from most -> least there is Japanese, Australian, and American (which i believe is generally a cross between full-blood Wagyu and Angus). Just be aware that most restaurants in USA are not serving Japanese Wagyu

I used to work at Chang’s. Lettuce wraps are probably one of the best…woulda thought it was the cheapest. Orange “mandarin?” chicken sucks. Mongolian beef is probably one of the better dishes. You want wok cooked stuff like the fried rice, beef, chicken, etc. They’re always changing the menu so who knows anymore. Also, the wonton soup was good.

The best thing to order there is the dan dan beef tell them to put extra spicy ten times on the ticket. And get a side of potstickers. Absolutely phenomenal.

I would recommend the pan-fried pork dumplings; it comes in a hot cast iron plate, which guarantees it's nice and hot! It's drizzled with a light chili sauce, so there's a bit of heat but it was also tasty. There's also the chili sauce to dip with, but the dumplings are delicious either way.
