An Apologetic for the Whiteness of White Babies | Doug Wilson

As I see that whiteness is in the news again, or perhaps still, it seems time once again to marshal some observations that might be helpful to some of my fellow pale faces.

As I have also gathered that I am from time to time read by critics who have the discerning eye of a five gallon wet/dry vac, who snatch at things I say in order to put them on a skeery black and white background photo of me, I can only say that today’s installment will be a treasure trove for them. We can start with the fact that white babies are a blessing from the Lord.

I'm in the tourist business. Last week there was a Scandinavian family that came through. Oh my lord was this family striking. The mother was pale white with grey eyes and long platnuim blonde hair she literally looked like a real life winter snow queen. The 5 children were all platinum blondes with bright blue eyes and rosey cheek. The dad had a viking braided hairstyle.

The dad told me that they were from northern Sweden visiting family in Minnesota.

Ive never gelt guilty about being white or my whiteness, i actually am proud. Just like every other human being, not one of us had a choice or any input into what our skin color, hair color, gender, etc. would be while we were growing inside the womb. So, if someone is ashamed of their skin color, i imagine thats a you problem.

Yes. And God has never given any such privileges, advantages, benefits, and opportunities based on skin tone! That's the part everyone seems to forget.
