Big island is on a constant super volcano 🌋 with unlimited supply of energy, Hawaii Island should be able to provide energy for all other islands. If Iceland can do it, America 🇺🇸 should be able to do way more.

Question... Do the power producers shareholders ever take a pay cut for the greater good?

Lived in hilo long time, in Colorado now. Same thing here. $100 more a month on utilities compared to last year. No matter what it always goes up.

Well when oil goes down, so should electric bills go down, but they don't, so she is lying!

Not a single person working for HECO/HELCO/MECO can or will do anything to negatively affect shareholder value. It's a fiduciary responsibility backed by case law. HECO is not the entity that will help Hawaii Island become energy self-sufficient. Your shareholders will never vote for your customers to become self-sufficient. The only thing HECO will do is purchase power agreements in order to control all of "our" renewable resources and resell our resources back to us. So please stop it with the "you're here to help, " intellectually dishonest mantra. You're here to make money from people regardless of their income or ability to pay. It was old the day Kalakaua passed.

Nice presentation though. You are good at your job and I appreciate your semi-annual sharing of how things work.

Everyone must get off county and state services and utility monopolies. Complaining to HECO does nothing, ever.

First of all the state of Hawaii corporation and the USA federal government is illegally occupying the Hawaiian kingdom recognized November 28 1843 by great Britten and France . I was born o’ahu island I am Hawaiian, there is no treaty of annexation and a resolution passed in Washington DC is not equal to a treaty.Solar pv with water battery storage is a good idea. Geo thermo is good, the problem is Americans assume they have the legal right to oppress Hawaiians and the kanaka’s who are the rightful care takers of the Hawaiian kingdom. Hawaiians grow food and medicine the sun and water gives us all the power we need. Aloha aina

Does Hawaii have different pricing for off and on peak demand. If not they should

Heat pump water heaters from Rheem with timers that turn on when electric demand is low is the best way to help.
