Introduction to GIS
A geographic information system (GIS) enables the storage, analysis and visualization of spatial data. At its most basic level it enables the creation of maps. This seminar will provide an introduction to GIS and an overview of how it has been used to support EWB-LVP projects in Sierra Leone and the Dominican Republic. We will discuss options for a future platform to provide online access to project GIS data and tools for all EWB-LVP members.
