What were your thoughts on how Wanda was portrayed and her motivations?

I loved Wanda as a villain but I just wished they showed more about how the Darkhold corrupted her since Strange did say that the book corrupts people.

That last line you said was right. I hope the MCU stops using her character to only give her grief after grief and then make her go crazy. It was fun while it lasted, but I think it's high time to give Wanda a long and hard journey down redemption road

I don't get what people don't understand about this. She was corrupted by the Darkhold. She basically turned into a more insidious more powerful Agatha Harkness. It's not rocket science and it doesn't need to be more complicated than that. The dark magic even corrupted Strange. The 616 version of the sorcerer might still be able to resist total corruption but we have yet to see in another installment.

The best part about this version of Wanda was that I have been calling her Scarlet Witch the whole time. This movie makes a distinction between Wanda Maximof and her Hex Bolts and a full-blown Scarlet Witch with reality-altering power. That+ the Darkhold made her a match for Dark Phoenix. It was great!

I think Wanda is not done yet. In Wandavision, she say she admitted her mistakes but continues to pursue her family. I think she will us her powers to create a universe. And that maybe Clea recruit Strange at the end.

I'm gonna treat this movie in the same vein as Captain America: Civil War, this was just as much about Wanda as it was about Dr Strange, I enjoyed it

If something was done right in this film it's the Scarlett Witch, like to see Marvel and how is paying off all the building of this particular character.

The Darkhold was introduced in Season 4 of Agents of SHIELD, and right away I knew it corrupted the people who read it. Come WandaVison, I knew what was gonna happen to Wanda when she started reading it in the mid-credits scene.

I was disappointed that director Sam Raimi & writer Michael Waldron didn’t watch WandaVision.
They just watched a few keymoments of the show.
I wish they watched all the episodes of WandaVision so that they can include scenes Wanda becomes a villain between WandaVision & MoM.
I understand the Darkhold changed her, but they should have explained about that more.

Wanda could make the multiverse implode and I’d still love her 😂

I just had a thought: If when we dream we see what our multiverse self is seeing and dream walking is actually controlling them, then would Lucid dreaming be dream walking and sleep paralysis be us failing to control them, thus the reason it feels we are trapped and can't make any sound?

I can explain it in 5 seconds
Corupted by darkhold and outfit changes to dark crimson/red outfit

I think this is a understandable Progression in the Context the movie provides us.
Also, with everything her character went through, who wouldn't have snapped at some point.
I'm just very happy the took this chance & created one of the best MCU Villains imo.
And how they resolved the conflict at the end was incredible.
Hope to see Wanda return sooner or later

I did find it weird that in all of this Wanda never went looking for white vision.

I think people in there love for wanda vision actually forgot that wanda has always been selfish she started as a villain after all. Her arc in wanda vision was making peace with vision s death and understanding her power so she turned to the only source she had . The thing is I don't think she even wanted to be a hero she just joined avengers because that's what was left for her. she can be good of course but through out her mcu journey we can see she has always been a bit resistant, emotional and impulsive about things but there was always someone to look out and guide her about things like her brother, vision, the avengers but her greatest desire tho was always a stable love filled life which she was gona have with vision until she had to kill him.
she finally had a taste of that in wanda vision but realized its fake and harming others she stopped . After that she is alone and darkhold was the only source to know about things when she saw her fake reality is a real reality somewhere she wanted that and lost herself completely in her desire this time she didn't have anyone to guide her in her head she is right and only doing all this because of her kids no one was gona stop her except her kids as strange realized and told america to let wanda see it for herself she finally saw who she has become from her kids eyes .
I think the theme is she is her own worst enemy which is what marvel trying to show . And in future wanda would have to except both her good and evil side and find a balance in between .

Wanda turning full evil just came out of nowhere to me (yes, I understand she was corrupted, but honestly, it seemed like lazy writing to me). She redeemed herself at the end of Wandavision, it seemed like she learned nothing!

Man that part where Wanda reunites with her kids and they were so scared of her they’re throwing their toys at her she screams out STOP IT getting emotional, that made me cry

Be sure to watch WandaVision, but ignore any "lessons" that Wanda might have learned about grief while she was grieving for Vision...like the ones shoved in our faces during the Penultimate Episode....sigh...I would love to understand the actual reason for why Wanda was taken in the exact Opposite Direction that was indicated at the end of WandaVision...

Also...her boys were created by Magic while she was inside a Magic Bubble of her own creation...how are there stable versions of them exactly? Who was their Father?
