Paul said it best in 2nd Corinthians 1:8 We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about the hardships we suffered in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life.1:9 Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. *But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead.1:10 *He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and *he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to *deliver us, 🙌🙏 3x he says deliver- past, present and future troubles. 😇

True. That is why Catholics understand Col. 1, 24: „Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I complete what is lacking in Christ's afflictions“. There is nothing that anyone can add to the infinite value of the cross.

However, there is an aspect of Christ’s suffering that is not complete—namely, the application of the merits of Christ’s Passion to individual souls. (Catholic Answers: How Can Christ’s Sufferings Lack Anything?)

Yes, I have been used by God more this year than any other, and it has been my worst financial year, and my most physically challenging year as well. I am close to being homeless, and this time I don't have a car to live in, and no, I am not lazy, or hooked on anything, I just don't make much money, I actually have 2 jobs. God knows what His reasons are for my humble means, I almost feel like it's preparing me for when the great reset happens. I'm certain that my social credit score will be 0 because I am not one of the World's sheep, I am the Lord's!

IT BOTHERS ME WHEN I HEAR OTHERS STATE THE LIE "JUST ENJOY THE PROCESS." THERE IS NO ENJOYMENT IN TRUE SUFFERING....ONLY ENDURANCE IN THE SUFFERING. YES, THE JOY OF THE LORD IS OUR STRENGTH. YES, OUR LORD WILL GIVE US A PEACE THROUGH THE SUFFERING. WE ENDURE THE SUFFERING. WE LEARN DURING THAT TIME AND APPRECIATE WHAT WE HAVE OR ARE GOING THROUGH. It is TRUE we are not to eepect suffering, yet it is NOT true to say dont pray for deliverance from suffering. LUKE `8 clearly demonstrates how GOD WILL deliver the very elect in times of suffering lest there be no faith when He comes. AND DONT FORGET how the walls of the jail came loose in Acts when there was imprisonment suffering for their works, HOW the prayers and praise led to that. The jailers were frightened....IN HIS TIME HE WILL deliver His very elect though He tarry long....STAND UP against injustice, in Christ like Spirit...and that is commandment. PAUL refused to be released from jail when they violated their own laws refused to be loosed from prison until they acknowledged what they did...seek Justice LOVE mercy walk HUMBLY with your God is truth. SO If we do not pray for relief from suffering then how can anyone stand up against injustice. WERE slaves set free by only the works of men fighting to end it? IT WAS GOD in that battle too ya know. THE prayers of relief from such suffering...and in all battles against strongholds in the earth..we are to pray without ceasing...bear one anothers burdens...pray for deliverance.. EVEN PAUL said of his dear brethren epaphritis who fell ill He prayed for deliverance of even that kind of suffering lest he suffer more distress...

This is an interesting response to the problem of evil and suffering, not a convincing one but interesting.
God made suffering so that they can give you strength to get through it (unless it's the type of suffering that kills you).
Also what about all the children who don't know god or jesus or the gospels? How do they get through their suffering?

tell that to a cancer patient ... suffering is NOT a gift. Suffering is proof their is no god.
