Sky Cottage, Loch Tay Scotland

In 2016 I filmed this video, along with two other video's for cottages. The plan was - and still is - to do more of these property videos, thus combining two passions: traveling and film making.

Sky Cottage is situated up a single track road only 2 and a half miles west of the charming village of Kenmore, right in the very heart of Highland Perthshire.
This 5 star self-catering cottage offers exceptionally comfy accommodation for couples looking for a special treat. It’s the ideal place for a honeymoon, a mid week getaway, or a romantic weekend just for two and the opportunity to chill out completely.

I am a retired chimney sweep who was based in just outside Perth, Perthshire, in Scotland, and have swept chimney's in the Loch Tay area. The type of stove shown..I have swept. I love the area..beautiful. for an English guy to be able to travel in the highlands to do my work..was a honor for me, with some great memories of places and people I did work for. I retired and left my business to my son..who I trained on the job..later he trained and got a certificate of successfully completing the course. He had to pass..I trained him. He loves the perthshire area as much as i do. Beautiful country...fantastic scenery. Great memories. My name may ring a few bells. I had the opportunity to sweep the chimneys of castles..mansions..and of course some lovely thatched cottages..and old hotels..I saw places that not many got to see and met people that not many people get to meet. My son..swept the chimney of a famouse Scottish actor from UK TV series..before he he went to Hollywood. I swept the chimney of a certain English MP. No names for privacy reasons. When I swept the MP's chimney..I was invited to stay for lunch. One of the wealthy families up in the highlands got a staff member to bring me tea and biscuits..on a tray..I sat in the main lounge area to eat and drink...my son was with me at the time. At times I took my wife Bea..who was ill at the time..some clients used to ask me to bring her along for a chat...great memories, many lovely people.

I never tired of listening this fiddle music again and again. I studied at Scotland some 35years ago .I like the people, the coutry side and its music which deeply touch to my heart untill now. I m from Myanmar, a thousand miles from Scotland but my soul is so close to this music. Thank u for posting such a beautiful music n the cozy cottage vedeo.

I was up at loch tay at a log cabin in sept 20 with my fiance and a couple we are friendly with.. We only live a hr and a bit frm it.. We had a really nice peacefully time, scenery is amazing...IM SO PROUD TO BE FROM SCOTLAND 💙
