This is my first time I'm making this type of video, I hope you guys enjoy it. Anyway I rewatched the Sonic movie both 1 & 2, and I noticed that Jim was starting to sound like Mike's Eggman voice in some scenes. Anyway, please make sure to like, comment and subscribe to my channel for more content!

Honestly if they can’t get Carrey back for Sonic 3, I think what could work is Robotnik becoming a disembodied AI voiced by Mike Pollick

Going from a 4kids dub actor to having an A-list household name actor imitate your work is one hell of a milestone

I could feel the Grinch wanting to break out of Jim at any second.

3:13 that “you can’t beat me!” was perfect

I wonder if Jim Carey intentionally had those moments where he seemingly hit the voice of Mike Pollock perfectly. He’s a fantastic impersonator, so I believe he could pull it off, but it still catches me off guard when it happens.

I like to imagine that, if Jim Carrey returns for Sonic 3, he'll make his gravely voice more frequent, possibly representing Robotnik's further slip into insanity.

I can't believe I ever doubted Jim Carrey being able to handle this role.

I could totally see all these lines being spoken in Pollack's voice.

A lot of people don't remember this, but in tv trailers for the first movie, we actually heard Jim Carrey doing his Mike Pollock impression. He said "Your mine hedgehog!"

That was actually the first time he did it, but for some reason, it was never put into the movie.

It's no coincidence that he STARTED periodically sounding like Mike Pollock's Eggman at about the same time he started taking on the LOOK of game Eggman.

He starts looking and sounding like Game Eggman around the same time his SANITY starts slipping because his obsession with killing Sonic and conquering all is becoming ALL-CONSUMING.

That is... the more he starts acting like and being motivated like his game counterpart... the more he LOOKS AND SOUNDS like him, too.

It's actually SUPER CLEVER.

I honestly love how they incorporated his egg man voice slowly through out the movies and associated it with his insanity. Same with his look too, he didn’t immediately look like the eggman from the games, it was a gradual change he went through with gives more realism to his character. Just like people have positive character development, they can also have negative character development. He wasn’t always the eggman we knew but he grew to become the one we know. I love the approach they went for with his character.

It’s weird hearing a reference but calling eggman “Professor X meets the monopoly man” still feels in character

"A lesser man would die here. I'll be home by Christmas." That line goes so hard for no reason.

If Jim Carrey Retires, they should hire Mike Pollock to be Eggman. He's got the voice AND the physique. Just give him a suit and mustache and he's all set!

0:27 I refuse to believe they didn’t briefly add in a voice line from Mike Pollock.

Before Jim was casted i used to think Alfred Molina (Doctor Octopus in Spiderman 2) would have been a perfect Robotnik in a Sonic movie.

0:24 I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought he really channeled Pollock here
