Meatloaf did amazing!!!!Ya can tell he is struggling it he is a trooper!!! Made me cry!!!! The emotion he puts into his songs, that everyone loved…he is still trying to sing that way!!!! I honestly love it!!!! His vocals isn’t as strong but they are still better then some of our artist we have now!!

Pattis vocals aged like a fine wine... compared to the early recordings her voice seems so grown and powerful now. What a voice!

I used to work night shift at a small grocery shop in Saugerties, NY back in the mid 70s. A group of musicians would come in near closing time several nights per week. I specifically remember a giant man in the group of 4 or 5 people, but knew none of their names. We found out a couple years later it was Meatloaf. They would buy everything & anything unhealthy we had lol. Twinkies, doughnuts, Pop, Chips etc. we used to argue who would carry out the groceries to the car - no matter how many bags it was always a $50 tip & a bellowing “ Thank You” from him.

I learned later, there was a recording studio in the next county over & we were the nearest grocery store. I think they eventually figured out we nearly fought each other to carry their bags for the big tip. All of a sudden, one night he made sure everyone received a $50 tip so he wouldn’t see us fight over it. Hard to believe a man so scary & intimidating looking could have such a big heart. Eventually, it was almost like your uncle was coming over, that’s how he made us feel.

RIP-I know god found a place for that big heart of yours.
