Waterton Park Hotel, Wakefield 🐦 Home of 'The Birdman' inc. grave visit

Voted as Yorkshire's best wedding venue and one of the best hotels with spa in the area, Waterton Park Hotel is certainly worth a visit. Especially if you can get it for a great price (more on this in the video)

But there's so much more to Waterton Park & Walton Hall than meets the eye.....

This episode will be like most hotel reviews in every sense of the word - I'll show you what our dinner, bed and breakfast package included and showcase some of the hotel features like the spa and food.

BUT this is not JUST a review - because this site, situated on the world's FIRST nature reserve has an important story behind it. A story that led me curiously through the woodlands of the estate, to find the grave of an Englishman whose story I found so remarkable: I just had to pay my respects.

I invite you therefore to come along with me as we wander in the footsteps of the Victorian naturalist, Charles Waterton....

Hailed as greatly important by both David Attenborough and Historic England, I believe too that Charles' story is one worth telling....
