Worth mentioning that the rarity and badassery of T16 is why it's being sold at auctions for upwards of 150k dollars. Pretty sweet for a 1984 hatchback .

I think you had a great countdown overall with these choices, that Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 was just plain mad. Same with the Clio V6. One thing to nitpick though, I'm pretty certain that the Focus RS has 345 hp, not 315.



Oh and the hatchbacks at the end were these: 1. Dodge Shelby Omni GLHS, 2. Nissan Pulsar GTI-R (I really would love to import one of these), 3. Alfa Romeo 147 GTA (completely bonkers).

Dodge Omni? I drove one my Senior year... it was awesome! Had my house stereo speakers in the hatch... crank the volume dealieo right off listening to Danger by Europe..., you know, to attract the lady’s! So much power under the hood. Had to punch it for a block and half just to make it up a hill. Good times... good times in the Omni!

Peugeot 205 T16 and the Lancia Delta Integrale EVO II were definitely my favourite. I like The Peugeot because it reminds me of the Koenigsegg Transformers mode (the thing where the body panels and doors are all open) and I like the Lancia because it looks very good.

Expected the BMW m140i to make the list, rear wheel drive 3 litre straight 6 turbo. 340hp (allegedly) in a hatchback and no LSD....crazy.
