VOX Mini Lesson: Tapping harmonics 🤔🔔
How will you incorporate harmonics in your sound?

"harmonics" refer to specific, bell-like tones produced by lightly touching the strings at certain points along the fretboard, rather than pressing them down fully.

Another cool way to produce a unique harmonic is with a tapping technique…. And we’re not talking the tapping technique used by Van Halen on “eruption”… Same approach…similar technique, but a little bit different!

Fretting hand ✋: play an A major triad on the fifth position
Index finger ☝️on my Picking Hand: Visualize the same exact triad shape but up an octave.
While holding that chord: lightly tap with your index finger ☝️ that shape, but up an octave!

Used in various musical styles, harmonics add texture, create unique sounds, or achieve specific effects in solos and compositions.

The triad sounded like the breaking bad intro to me, and the tapping of the triad sounded like no surprises lmao
