We all thought for sure it was gonna be one of those "But Thou Mustn't" moments, when we picked Yes...

The game liiterally tells you:
"It's good, you saved yourself, you ran like coward, but you are alive, *are you happy now?* "

One of my favorites. I like the instrumentation in this one... It feels very deep and melancholic, as if you are looking back and having immense regrets... as you should.

On my first playthrough, I was NOT expecting this to be an ending.

It's easy to mock those who decided to bail out at this point while staying behind the safety of your screens. Try to imagine it from Quote's perspective.
Alone, lost in an unfamiliar place, memories missing. Small arsenal of strange weapons, tiny pool of health and a single healing potion. Tons and tons of monsters wanting to shred you to pieces. For added pressure imagine no save points (because those wouldn't make a lot of sense in real situation).
You have walked through seven rings of hell, and you don't know how many avaits you further. You've just lost you comrade-in-arms, some of the friendly people you've met were killed, the rest - gone, presumed dead or worse.
No guarantees that you can stop the bad guys.
No guarantees that you can save anyone else.
No guarantees that you can even save yourself...
