Hey Tom, great insight. I just thought I'd mention that Thunderbolt is now royalty free for OEM's and any OEM can implement it in their products (like AsRock did with their X570 boards), so it's an Asus thing not an Intel thing just FYI.

3. Thunderbolt 3.

I'd happly consider buying one of these if they don't lock out the option with the non micro LED option to the higher end spec. Dell has been guilty of this with their G7 models that they don't include the 90whr battery within configs lower than the 2080-mq

Not bad, I just got my G14. It can handle Mil-Sim like SQUAD. It's true you have to regedit to enable turning off CPU Booster. For productivity, superb.

Wish it was all AMD using Radeon 5700m and had Thunderbolt ports. Not sure what you said about Intel not sharing Thunderbolt is true. Any company can licence Thunderbolt as Asus already so for some monitors. Nothing stops them from putting Thunderbolt controllers on the board

I don't like the font they used for the keyboard, hope there was a more streamlined simplified version of it with regular space bar and more modern fonts

The "chunky chin" on the bottom of the bezel is probably so it doesn't melt the screen.

I've got the non AniMe Ryzen 9 version with the RTX 2060 max Q, thing gets really hot until you turn boosting off. It lets me play Everquest on the amd gpu in battery saver mode unplugged with no fan noise, so that's a plus
