I owned both the 8th gen (for like 6 years from new) and i now own a 9th gen. the 9th gen is by far the better daily driver, its softer and has a much better interior. with that being said, the 8th gen was no slouch as far as a daily, but it had no torque. I see why honda made the change, but in terms of performance, honestly they are about the same. its like the ap1 vs ap2. but do a head swap, rsx oil pump, and rbc, and you are right there with an 8th gen as far as the visceral feeling. they are really quite similar

This is the exact build I want to do. This boost set up is almost Bulletproof, plus it sounds like a turbo while performing like a supercharger. I love it. It's just super expensive

The 9th gens just sound different and rev just a bit lower but have more torque. The 8th gen is not necessarily superior it's just designed a little different but definitely not faster, they're really about the same

I’ve always dreamed of owning and modding a si, ended up getting a 2020 si after a few years which is a ticking time bomb due to the clutch getting worse and that’s a slight 2k+ dollar job after labor which sucks ass. Honestly may sell and get a 9th gen si so I can finally do what I’ve always wanted to do

What clutch and injectors are you using for that power? im boosted and running 2200 cc injectors and competition twin disc and feel like its over kill, im full E and pushing 15 psi so im around 450-470 whp

I have to move my selector in to next week for each shift. I like the super short throws you have. Each time you shift looks like I would just be moving my car out of gear in to neutral. Its a 6 speed Honda also.
