I love this trick! I haven't done this in 25 years! I've retired after 27 years and I always go out to see my friends. I'm going to take this one out and go see them! It does work. Another great easy trick. Take a Band-Aid, cut a small piece to fit the bottom of your thumb. Stick a tooth pick in it, mash it down so it sticks. fold your thumb down under your 1st finger. Hold it up, say "watch this" throw your hand up open, toothpick is gone! It's behind your thumb! Reach up in the air, fold your thumb back down, TADA! Toothpick back!

This is a big moment for us. We got through 2 whole sentences! Granted one of them was just a single word which actually doesn't count as a sentence, but a sentence fragment. Proper English dictates that it should have read something like, "It was a mistype." Or, "They were mistypes." In any case you managed to get a thought out without me correcting your spelling. I am very proud of your progress.

Read this in a book about fun experiments when I was about 7. Didn't realize people actually use it for magic tricks though. Guess I just assumed it was something people knew about.

This is awesome. Ive been doing it for about a year to my friends...family and spectators. They are amazed blown away and freaked out all in one. The ony silly thing in this routine is that the stuff you put on yr fingers is difficult to fully remove even after washing it well under water using detergent etc. Any tips for that brother? Very good. :-) Years ago(when I was a kid), I bought some stuff from a magic shop that was like a tacky paste that you placed between your fingers and that was used to create smoke in the same manner.

I didn't know this effect. But I remember I tried that when I was a little kid. Don't know whether there was smoke because I was trying to see glowing effect in the dark. Have you tried that before? It has glowing green color.

Burning on something like an old-fashioned glass ashtray would save the finish of the faucet, which may be made of plastic.

If you look for it, you'll find a sticky product made for this illusion, but it's been 20 years since I last looked for it. The glue heats up and when you stretch it between your fingers, it becomes airborne and looks identical to smoke.

I am doing this since i was a kid. You dont need the water running at all. never heard of that. You can burn the paper on a knife blade or a coin, and thats all. Plus, your fingers will glow in the dark for a while

could you do this by putting the residue all over your hand and rubbing your hands together?
