My husband brought home a DX7 II to work on. Our toddler loved that thing. One day it quit working. My son turned 13 this year and asked if he and Dad could tinker with it to get it going again. They did. Suddenly I hear "Jump" chords coming from the playroom. They got it working again! My son is so excited! He only ever wants to listen to 70's and 80's music. Soon I'm going to introduce him to my favorite band - Rush. Thanks for this video!

The DX7's FM electric piano has made history and remains a wonderful sound still today. Congratulations for your playing👍👍👍.
To be precise, "Never Gonna Let You Go" and "Saving All My Love For You" are played with a real Fender Rhodes, the legendary Fender Rhodes E-Model, with its unique belly sound. After various adjustments i managed to get that sound from the Rhodes that i had and that i have.😉

I had the DX7 II FD when it first came out and was the next generation of DX7 Synths. It was an amazing FM Synthesis keyboard at that time until Sampled keyboards took over. I played the DX7 allot and had all kinds of sound patches over time using it.

Deeply regret selling DX7. Waited on a list for 3 months when it first came out to get mine. Later got the E! upgrade which was also fab. Played it for 20 years + and sold it. I miss the action of the keyboard - light and fast and sensitive and of course the sounds…
