UK energy (the most expensive energy in the world), the system/policy is so broken, that businesses and households will be paid to reduce the amount of energy they use to flatten out periods of peak demand when the sun doesn't shine and the wind doesn't blow to prevent blackouts (Power-outages). That's called energy rationing, the kind of policy introduced by third world nations with unstable energy supplies. Despite the UK sitting on coal, shale gas, and North sea gas, under Labour the UK has turned into 'Clown World'. We have now closed all our traditional power stations, off-shored our industry to the Far East and India. Mean while China and India are building coal powered power stations and steel plants faster than ever. Can someone tell we how this saves the planet?
